Nonviolent Observation

Provides financial support for political process observers for strikes, demonstrations, and elections. Legal observers and documentarians have had a violence limiting effect, especially in situations where the news media may be absent. Outside observers have demonstrated an ability to limit abuse of civil society activists by their presence due to the fact that such abuse will now have a witness.  This special fund of Nonviolence International Canada also supplies financial support for nonviolent security strategies to protect human rights defenders.
